Orchestra wins contract for cloud native transformation project

Orchestra (CEO Beomjae Kim), a cloud software company, announced that it has won a contract for the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) Emergency Report Joint Management Center cloud native conversion project, the first case of a government-led cloud native conversion project.

In April of last year, the government announced the 'Digital Platform Government Realization Plan' to accelerate the digital innovation of public services. Accordingly, based on the results of the '24-year Cloud Native Conversion Detailed Design Project', which was conducted as the starting point of the public cloud native conversion plan, a full-scale conversion project will begin. The Emergency Report Joint Management Center Cloud Native Conversion Project is the first stage of this plan and is a large-scale project worth a total of 5.9 billion won. It is attracting attention from various organizations scheduled for cloud native conversion and the IT industry.

Orchestra has already been selected as the lead company for the detailed design project for the cloud native conversion of the Emergency Report Joint Management Center of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and has successfully performed consulting. Orchestra Cloud (CEO Lee Hyeong-bae) was also selected on November 28 as the CSP for the Emergency Report Joint Management System for the 'Private Partnership Cloud Operation Model (PPP)' of the Daegu National Information Resources Service, a joint investment with KTC. With this contract, Orchestra will be in charge of everything from construction to operation for the conversion to a cloud native environment promoted by the government.

The Emergency Report Joint Management Center integrates 21 complex reporting lines (Crime 112, Disaster 119, Civil Complaints 110) to improve the disaster and accident reporting system and provides important national services in which relevant organizations jointly respond when a problem occurs. This cloud native conversion project aims to convert the emergency report joint utilization and response system and the emergency report direct app to a cloud native basis and modernize the information system operation and management environment. Through this, it is expected to strengthen cooperative functions such as real-time sharing of emergency report information and report transfer among the fire department, coast guard, and police, and establish a joint response system, enabling a more rapid response in national disaster situations.

Orchestra plans to optimize infrastructure usage by introducing a cloud-optimized microservice architecture (MSA) to maximize the benefits of the cloud, and to strengthen the connection and security between various emergency reporting agencies. In addition, it plans to support automated deployment and optimized operating systems by utilizing DevSecOps solutions to provide stable and efficient operating services to users.

Kim Beom-jae, CEO of Orchestra, said, “I am very honored to be in charge of the cloud native conversion project promoted by the government. Through the cloud native conversion of the Emergency Report Joint Management Center, we will strengthen the information sharing and cooperation system between emergency reporting agencies at disaster sites, and maximize the efficiency of response to failures, thereby laying the foundation for further enhancing national safety.” He continued, “With this project contract, Orchestra has once again proven its expertise and capabilities in the cloud native business. Orchestra will make this project a model case of cloud native conversion and lead digital innovation in both the public and private sectors.”

Meanwhile, Orchestra has proven its expertise by building and operating cloud native and DevOps platforms in the cloud data centers of major domestic public institutions, such as the National Information Resources Service and the Defense Integrated Data Center. In addition, in addition to the Emergency Report Joint Management Center, it has successfully completed various cloud native conversion detailed design projects, such as the National Public Transportation Information System of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority and the Daegu Metropolitan City Integrated Reservation System. Recently, it has won a series of large-scale cloud native projects in the financial market, including the first-tier financial sector, and its IaaS SW, Contrabase, is gaining attention as a VMware alternative solution, expanding its presence in the private market.
