STC Lab, Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation Sign Contract to Provide 'Amberster'

STC Lab (CEO Park Hyung-jun), a traffic and resource management solution company, announced on the 14th that it has signed a contract with the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation to provide ‘Mbuster’, a solution that detects and blocks macro attacks.

The Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation sells various products, such as commemorative coins and medals featuring the works of representative Korean artists, on its online shopping mall. In particular, it holds public events for popular limited edition products, such as current coins by year or BTS's 10th anniversary commemorative medal, and in order to provide fair purchasing opportunities to more consumers, it introduced a lottery system and applied Embuster.

With the introduction of Amberster, attempts to sweep up products using macros at the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation shopping mall will be blocked at the source. Not only will macros be detected and blocked in real time during events, but regular monitoring will also be possible through periodic access and behavior analysis even during non-event periods. This will provide fair services to consumers while also reducing unnecessary traffic, strengthening website stability, and reducing IT operating costs.

Embuster blocks malicious macros at the source through a 'static analysis' method that blocks IPs that exploit macros in advance and a 'dynamic analysis' method that detects abnormal clicks and refreshes. It also applies a secondary authentication system such as a captcha to prevent cases where normal access is mistaken for a macro. The blocking range can be adjusted in various ways to determine how much is considered a macro and how much is blocked. With AI technology, you can also check the status of real-time macro blocking at any time.

STC Lab CEO Park Hyung-jun said, “It is very meaningful to be able to contribute to strengthening the fairness of public services by cooperating with the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation.” He added, “We will establish a system to prevent a certain minority from illegally buying up rare or limited edition items and to provide fair opportunities to consumers who visit the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation.”
