Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Meeting with Promising Startups “Innovative Startups are the Future”

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of SMEs and Startups) announced that on the 10th, it held a meeting with startup representatives who achieved excellent results in 'Challenge! K-Startup' at Tipstown S6 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

This meeting, chaired by Minister Oh Young-joo, was organized to review the recent startup ecosystem and discuss effective growth support measures based on startups’ opinions.

Representatives from 10 companies, including Aldeba Co., Ltd., participated and shared their main items and startup stories, sketched out a roadmap for future growth, and had time to freely exchange opinions on the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' startup support policies.

Startup representatives who participated in the meeting suggested global expansion such as overseas exhibitions, securing and nurturing talent, and expanding infrastructure for public-private cooperation to help companies grow.

Minister Oh Young-joo said in his opening remarks, “The teams participating today are representative startups of the Republic of Korea that have been verified through numerous evaluations,” and added, “The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will do its best to further strengthen the startup ecosystem so that domestic startups with promising technologies such as deep tech can grow into global startups.”

Meanwhile, 'Challenge! K-Startup' is the largest startup competition in Korea, operated in collaboration by 10 government ministries including the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. A total of 6,238 teams participated in 2024, and the final winning teams (20 teams) were selected on December 12th of last year (competition rate 312:1). This year, 12 preliminary leagues with the addition of a content league are planned to be held.
