Sylvia Health begins installing and operating cognitive testing kiosks in Gangwon Province.

Sylvia Health announced that it was selected for the Gangwon Techno Park demonstration project and has installed and started operating cognitive testing kiosks in six inland areas of Gangwon Province.

The installation locations are ▲Jeongseon County Public Health Center ▲Jeongseon County Hospital ▲Jodong Public Health Clinic ▲Myeonon Public Health Clinic ▲Pyeongchang County Public Health Center ▲Pyeongchang Healthy Living Support Center, and it is expected to contribute to the early detection and prevention of dementia among local residents.

The number of dementia patients is increasing due to the aging population, but early detection is difficult due to a shortage of screening personnel and psychological barriers. Early detection and treatment of dementia can improve quality of life and reduce social and economic costs.

Sylvia Health has developed cognitive testing software that allows users to complete a digital task in approximately 10 minutes and receive test results via KakaoTalk. The kiosk approach is considered effective in reducing the burden of dementia testing due to its ease of use and accessibility.

This cognitive testing kiosk was developed through the Dangjin City Smart Social Service Pilot Project and the Namwon City Regional Specialized Demonstration Project in the second half of last year, and is expected to provide a new solution to the community dementia prevention task, starting with Gangwon Province.

A Silvia Health official said, “In an aging society, dementia prevention and early detection are essential tasks,” and added, “We will eliminate medical barriers and expand accessibility to dementia prevention through our digital cognitive screening solution.”
