Shintnote's "ThanksQR" attracts investment

Fintech startup Sintnote announced that it has been selected as the first investment company for the Seoul Creative Economy Innovation Center's first fund, "Seoul Changgyeong-Better Fintech Investment Fund No. 1," marking a significant leap forward. While the amount of this investment was undisclosed, it is considered a recognition of Sintnote's innovative technology and market potential.

Shintnote's unique "ThanksQR" service addresses the inconveniences of in-person cash transactions, such as secondhand goods transactions. It allows users to instantly transfer cash using a credit card, even without carrying cash. This simple payment method, utilizing QR codes, offers users an intuitive and convenient experience, making it an innovative service that facilitates transactions even in situations where cash is unavailable.

In particular, Thanks QR is positioning itself as a new financial platform, built on security and speed, going beyond simple remittances. This technology has the potential to attract attention not only in Korea but also in the global fintech market.

This investment is part of the first fund established by the Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation ten years after its launch. The fund, jointly managed by the Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation and Better Ground, focuses on discovering and supporting promising early-stage startups.

Lee Young-geun, director of the Seoul Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, said, “This investment is an important example that goes beyond simple financial support and contributes to the revitalization of the startup ecosystem and the recovery of the venture investment market,” adding, “We will continue to work to ensure that excellent startups receive timely funding so that they can grow.”

With this investment, Sintnote plans to fully pursue technological advancements and market expansion for its Thanks QR service. In particular, amidst the accelerating global trend toward a cashless society, Sintnote is committed to establishing itself as a leader in QR-based remittance platforms. This platform extends beyond individual transactions and provides experience to a wide range of sectors, including small businesses and SMEs, and is expected to play a key role in the digital financial ecosystem.

Kim Min-seop, CEO of Shintnote, said, "This investment is a result of our partnership with partners who have trusted and supported Shintnote. Through the ThanksQR service, we will strive to enable more people to benefit from financial technology."
