MDS Intelligence (CEO Ji Chang-geon and Lee Jeong-seung) , a core affiliate of MDS Tech, a company specializing in AI embedded solutions, announced on the 10th that it had introduced RapidMetering, the latest AIoT-based remote water meter reading solution, at CES 2025 held in Las Vegas, USA.
Korea Water Resources Corporation is focusing on strengthening global sales with three major ultra-gap water management technologies: ▲ 'Water Management Digital Twin' that supports dam operation decision-making by replicating the upstream and downstream of a dam in virtual space; ▲ 'AI Water Purification Plant' that autonomously operates the water purification plant through artificial intelligence (AI) algorithm analysis; and ▲ 'Smart Water Network Management (SWNM)', a leakage reduction and pipeline stabilization solution utilizing the Internet of Things.
At CES 2025, the Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) organized its K-water booth focusing on three key breakthrough water management technologies. MDS Intelligence participated in the Smart Water Network Management (SWNM) category, showcasing the excellence of Korea's smart water network management technology to the world.
MDS Intelligence's Digital Twin division is revolutionizing the water metering system with Rapid Metering, a proprietary remote water metering solution. This solution leverages AIoT technology to deliver transparency, accuracy, and efficiency, with a durability of over eight years. Rapid Metering utilizes existing analog meter readers, but uses a compact, waterproof, and moisture-proof camera to capture metering images and transmit them to a server. These images are then analyzed using AI deep learning technology, converted into numerical data, and used to provide usage information and additional information.
A company official explained, “Rapid Metering, which has been upgraded to reflect various domestic and international requirements since the previous version HY-Check, which was selected as the winner of the CES 2022 Innovation Awards, is receiving a lot of attention at the CES 2025 site based on its improved functions and stable performance.” “This solution utilizes a powerful AIoT framework to implement image capture, AI analysis, and real-time monitoring, and is evaluated as a digital transformation (DX) technology by converting existing analog meters into a digital environment.”
MDS Intelligence anticipates export success through collaborations with companies from various countries, including Hong Kong, the Philippines, India, Japan, the United States, and France, at the K-water Pavilion at CES 2025. A company representative stated, "Our IoT control platform, built on international standards, guarantees proven scalability and stability in both domestic and international markets." They added, "We achieve over 99.5% image recognition accuracy through AI deep learning analysis, and we reduce errors with automatic classification and problem-solving capabilities."
“Our participation in CES 2025 reaffirmed the significant potential of rapid metering in the global market,” said Woo Kyung-il, director of MDS Intelligence. “This exhibition will serve as a standard for smart water management technology for a sustainable future.”
