A new collaboration between Samsung Electronics and pet healthcare platform DoctorTail was unveiled at CES 2025.
DoctorTail announced on the 9th that its AI-based online veterinary consultation service has been integrated into Samsung Electronics' smart home platform, SmartThings.
SmartThings, Samsung Electronics' smart home platform used by over 370 million people worldwide, connects with various devices to provide users with a more convenient and smarter lifestyle. DoctorTail provides an AI-based online veterinary consultation service and has established itself as a trusted pet healthcare platform. In the US alone, it has recorded over 530,000 pet owners and over 160,000 consultations.
At CES 2025, Samsung Electronics and Doctor Tail presented a scenario where owners can use Samsung smart devices to check their pets' health and, if any abnormal symptoms are found, receive immediate consultation through Doctor Tail, which is installed on the SmartThings platform.
The fact that the accessibility of pet care has been greatly enhanced by allowing users to conveniently use consultation services at any time on the SmartThings platform even without using a smart device has also drawn attention.
This collaboration marks the second of its kind, following the integration of Dr.Tail's video-based online veterinary consultation service into Samsung Electronics' smart TVs last year. The two companies' technological prowess and vision are once again gaining traction, and this collaboration is setting a new standard for pet care and smart technology.
“Doctor Tail plans to continue to innovate with Samsung Electronics to provide better services and experiences to pet owners,” said Lee Dae-hwa, CEO of Doctor Tail.
