The Korea Institute for Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KIT) (Acting President Choi Yeol-su) announced on the 9th that it was the first Korean company to receive a commendation for its contribution to expanding the global startup base from the Nevada state government.
Since 2020, the Korea Institute of Startups and Entrepreneurship Development has supported the participation of promising domestic startups in overseas exhibitions every year. At this year's CES 2025, the Korea Institute of Startups and Entrepreneurship Development is collaborating with 29 domestic startup support organizations and companies to support the global expansion of 127 promising startups.
The Korea Institute of Startups & Entrepreneurship Development (KIED) has showcased over 420 companies on the global stage, not only supporting Korean startups' entry into the global market and demonstrating their capabilities, but also contributing to the expansion of the global startup base by promoting Korean startups' activities and collaboration in the U.S. market.
Thanks to these efforts, the company was awarded the first Korean commendation from the Nevada state government at the 'CES 2025 K-Startup Integrated Pavilion Opening Ceremony' held at Eureka Park on the 7th, the day of the CES 2025 opening ceremony.
On this day, Vice Minister of SMEs and Startups Kim Seong-seop and Nevada Lieutenant Governor Stavros S. Anthony attended the opening ceremony in person and gave congratulatory remarks on the opening of the K-Startup Integrated Center and personally presented a certificate of commendation.
“I believe Korean technology is excellent and innovative, and I am amazed by its prominence at CES every year,” said Stavros S. Anthony. “I look forward to continuing to collaborate with Korea, a U.S. ally, in the startup ecosystem.”
Acting President Choi Yeol-soo of the Korea Institute for Startups & Entrepreneurship Development said, “As Korea’s dedicated startup organization, I am delighted to be able to contribute to the revitalization of the startup ecosystem not only in Korea but also globally,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to promote the potential of Korean startups to the world and contribute to the development of the global startup ecosystem.”
Meanwhile, the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development plans to continue supporting the participation of Korean startups in exhibitions by establishing a 'K-Startup Integrated Pavilion' within Eureka Park, a dedicated startup pavilion, at CES 2025, which runs until the 10th of this month.
