Autoplus announced on the 9th that it has acquired a technology patent related to the 'Cost-effectiveness Report', a customized used car sales system based on legal performance inspection, which is being presented through Ribbon Car, a non-face-to-face direct certification vehicle platform.
This patent relates to a "customized used car sales system and method based on legal performance inspections." This technology objectively evaluates vehicle quality based on legally mandated vehicle performance inspection data and Autoplus' existing patented "importance-reflecting vehicle transaction system and method." Through this patent, Autoplus has proven its unrivaled technology in the used car industry.
The "Cost-effectiveness Report," which utilizes the patented "Customized Used Car Sales System and Method Based on Legal Performance Inspection," is a system that numerically expresses the quality and price of a used car, considering that the quality and price are 100% comparable to the original car's release price. Ribboncar provides this information as product information on the vehicle details page. Consumers can use the "Cost-effectiveness Report" to personally verify the quality and price of a used car compared to a new one, enabling them to make rational purchases.
Additionally, the existing patent, "Vehicle Transaction System and Method Reflecting Importance," used in the new patent is related to "AQI (Autoplus Quality Inspection)," a precision inspection technology that inspects key elements of used cars. RibbonCar publishes a 60-page precision inspection report on its vehicle details pages to ensure customers' confidence in the vehicle's quality and safety.
Meanwhile, Autoplus possesses patented technology that provides objective information on performance inspections, which are difficult for the general public to understand, allowing consumers to directly verify and judge the information. In 2017, the company obtained a technology patent related to precision inspection technology (AQI) (a vehicle transaction system and method reflecting importance), and in 2020, it obtained a technology patent related to "selective improvement" (a customized used car sales system and method), which allows for the improvement of only desired items. In 2021, the company became the first in the industry to obtain a technology patent related to "odor care service" (a customized used car sales system and method using odor care).
Park Jong-ho, executive director of Autoplus Production Headquarters, said, “The ‘Cost-effectiveness Report’ is a system we independently developed to provide objective and accurate information to consumers, and we have obtained a technology patent to increase its reliability.” He added, “We will continue to strive to provide accurate information on used cars so that consumers can purchase Ribbon Cars with confidence.”
