Stonebridge Ventures and Sparklabs Invest 2 Billion Won in Amber Road

Stonebridge Ventures announced that it has completed a KRW 2 billion pre-A investment in Amber Road, a manufacturing AI solution company spun off from POSCO, together with SparkLabs.

Amber Road began as an in-house venture at POSCO, building on its track record of generating KRW 39.7 billion in annual profits through 33 AI projects. It was spun off from POSCO in September 2023, and within a year, it had secured 16 major clients across diverse industries, including steel, secondary batteries, automobiles, and food.

Amber Road's AI solution, "Miner Report," is a customized solution that implements the AI technology necessary to maximize quality, yield, and energy efficiency in manufacturing processes in just three months. While existing solutions typically take around ten months, Amber Road's solution offers significant cost savings. The customized solution encompasses everything from data integration to real-time optimal control and a sustainable operations management system.

Dong-yeol Choi, head of Stonebridge Ventures' investment division, said, "Amberg Road possesses technological capabilities that can be expanded into various manufacturing sectors, while satisfying customers through customized solutions and commercializing core technologies to increase their potential for expansion. This was key to our investment decision."
