
The SMC Group announced on the 9th that it has selected Mirae Asset Securities as the lead manager for its initial public offering (IPO) in 2026.
Last year, DSMC Group hired personnel from Eugene Investment & Securities' IPO division to begin responding to potential investors and preparing for a KOSDAQ listing. In December of that year, it sent out an RFP to major domestic securities firms and, after a comprehensive review of the competitive presentations and track records of the firms that submitted proposals, selected Mirae Asset Securities as the lead underwriter.
To date, the company has not secured any external investment, and several domestic and international SIs and institutional investors are currently reviewing investments. The funds raised will be used for AI research, ad tech development, global expansion through a Vietnamese branch, and recruiting top talent. The company plans to accelerate the group's growth until it applies for preliminary review for an IPO.
Founded in 2009, alongside the rise of the new media advertising industry, DSMC Group has pioneered the digital advertising market, leveraging diverse social media platforms like blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Since 2014, the company has experienced significant growth alongside the rise of social media, and aims to reach KRW 150 billion in revenue by 2025.
Currently, the DSMC Group is comprised of seven specialized organizations: ▲DSMC Holdings (management, investment, research), ▲SocialMC (social media comprehensive advertising), ▲Dade (digital comprehensive advertising), ▲IMK (tourism, public), ▲Team Mint (performance marketing), ▲Semari Toki (participatory campaign), and ▲The Service Center (new entertainment). Approximately 600 employees operate 150 brand media and produce over 30,000 pieces of content annually.
In 2021, DSMC Group demonstrated its creative prowess by winning 14 awards at major advertising awards with Softsphere (the predecessor of Three Rabbits). In 2022, it acquired performance marketing company Teammint, significantly expanding its reach in related fields. Furthermore, it expanded its business scope by establishing a corporate research institute with a CTO from KAIST.
