Sage Safety Selected as an "Industrial Convergence Innovation Product" by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy

Sage (CEO Jong-Woo Park and Young-Seok Hong) , an artificial intelligence (AI)-based vision solution company, announced on the 9th that its AI-based safety monitoring solution, Sage Safety, was selected as an ‘Industrial Convergence Innovation Item’ by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

The "Industrial Convergence Innovation Items and Leading Convergence Companies" selection program, overseen by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, selects and supports companies recognized for their outstanding industrial convergence performance and future growth potential through evaluations of industrial convergence innovation items (convergence, innovation, economic value, and social value) and corporate capabilities (knowledge and innovation capabilities, management capabilities, business capabilities, and financial soundness). Various benefits are provided, including tax breaks, financial support, and government R&D priority support.

Sage Safety is a solution that monitors safety factors that may arise in industrial settings through existing CCTV cameras and automatically detects them using AI technology. It identifies all hazards that could lead to major industrial accidents, such as failure to wear a hard hat, fire, smoke, and falls, and provides immediate alerts to users. Since its development in November 2023, Sage Safety has been deployed in over 1,000 sites, ensuring industrial safety. It has been officially certified by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) for its intelligent CCTV performance in the areas of loitering, intrusion, and falls.

Meanwhile, Sage's co-CEO Jong-Woo Park was selected as a 2025 regular member of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea, the 'Hall of Fame for Science and Engineering Leaders.'
