"Yoit" Operation Happy Life Selected as a Tip by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups

Happy Life Co., Ltd. (CEO: Ki-ho Cha, hereinafter "Happy Life"), a senior care startup that provides "Yo-Yang-eul-Eutda" (hereinafter "Yo-It"), a personalized consultation service connecting long-term care professionals, has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Tech Incubator Program for Startups (TIPS), a technology startup support program. Happy Life's selection was achieved through seed investment and recommendation from Synergy IB Investment, a new technology venture capital firm.

TIPS is a program that fosters startups with superior technologies through collaboration between the private and public sectors. Private operators initially invest 100-200 million won in promising startups, and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups provides support, including R&D funding.

Startups selected for TIPS can secure up to 500 million won in research and development funding over two years. Additional funding is also available for commercialization (100 million won) and overseas marketing (100 million won).

Yoit offers a free app service that connects seniors in need of care with long-term care centers and provides personalized consultations with long-term care experts. By answering just four questions, caregivers can receive multiple personalized suggestions from local care centers and experts, and begin conversations right away, without having to make any trips.

The long-term care insurance system for the elderly is a highly useful, life-oriented national welfare benefit for seniors and their caregivers in need of care. However, it requires completing all necessary procedures, including document preparation and application, level screening and approval, and selection of services and centers. Therefore, the initial barrier to entry is somewhat high. Because it fundamentally requires proactive involvement from caregivers, many individuals who meet the eligibility requirements for services often fail to access them due to ignorance or difficulty in doing so.

In this context, Yoit is helping seniors and their caregivers overcome the challenges they face when entering long-term care services through personalized counseling connections, ensuring they receive the care and support they need. After a three-month pilot program that demonstrated its effectiveness, Happy Life recently expanded its service nationwide.

Going forward, Happy Life plans to gradually advance and refine its Yoit service to bridge the gap between providers and users in the long-term care market and ensure that everyone can enjoy customized care services without burden.

Cha Ki-ho, CEO of Happy Life, expressed his ambition, saying, “We will combine the expertise we have built up in the nursing industry with information technology (IT) to resolve market difficulties one by one and create a standard for nursing services that satisfies everyone.”

Meanwhile, the Yoit app can be downloaded for free by searching for "Yoyang-eul Ietta" or "Yoit" on the Android Play Store or Apple App Store. It is also available through the official Yoit website .
