Edgecross hires Jang Seung-wook, vice president and industrial FA expert.

Edgecross (CEO Baek Hoon) , a company specializing in Machine DX (digital transformation) based on total smart machine solutions, announced on the 8th that it has hired Seungwook Jang, former Managing Director of Autocon and an expert in industrial automation solutions, as Vice President. With this appointment, Edgecross plans to expand the application areas of its Machine DX solutions and IoT devices and accelerate its efforts to pioneer new markets.

Vice President Jang, who previously served as Engineering Team Leader for the Industrial Automation Business Unit at Schneider Electric Korea, oversaw OEM solution sales for the automotive and automation divisions, and was responsible for IIoT platform sales and the mechanical equipment (OEM) division. He later served as Managing Director of Autocon, Rockwell Automation's official distributor in the Yeongnam and Honam regions, where he led various projects.

Vice President Jang plans to focus on expanding EdgeCross' business and expanding its network of technology partners. Specifically, EdgeCross' solutions integrate with PLCs and various controllers to automate machine control and offer a variety of smart machine transformation capabilities that can be expanded into data-driven AI solutions. Leveraging his experience in applying industrial automation applications across key industries, Vice President Jang aims to expand EdgeCross' Machine DX application market.

EdgeCross CEO Baek Hoon said, “Vice President Jang Seung-wook has applied automation solutions in both factory and non-factory industries and is an expert with specialized expertise in digital transformation of industrial sites and smart factory business.” He added, “We expect that EdgeCross will be able to develop its business more quickly in the field and strengthen its market competitiveness through the new vice president’s in-depth field technical capabilities and rich network.”

Meanwhile, EdgeCross offers a variety of machine DX solutions based on its AIoT platform technology, transforming existing machines into smart ones. Specifically, the company offers a comprehensive product lineup that integrates machine data collection, remote machine control, and machine data-based AI predictive maintenance, enabling specific smart machine solutions that can be immediately implemented in the field. The company is also accelerating its overseas expansion, with plans to showcase its products at NEPCON Japan, held at Tokyo Big Sight from the 22nd to the 24th of this month.
