Sony Unveils Latest Technologies and Initiatives at CES 2025

Sony participated in 'CES 2025', the world's largest international consumer electronics show held in Las Vegas, USA from the 7th to the 10th (local time), and unveiled the latest technologies and initiatives under the theme of 'Creative Entertainment Vision', a long-term vision that Sony aims to achieve within the next 10 years.

Hiroki Totoki, Sony Group President, COO, and CFO, joined a variety of speakers on the 6th for the official press conference, the day before the opening of CES 2025. He announced new initiatives, including new solutions that enable creative freedom, such as a new in-vehicle processing system for a "creative entertainment vision" and the latest solutions for creating u-space content.

In addition to introducing new initiatives in the field of animation to expand the fan community, Sony also highlighted Project u, which transforms uGames IP into visual works, and new location-based entertainment experiences that expand the world of uGames IP from various perspectives through co-creation with uMusic artists. Among these, the production of an anime series based on the game "Ghost of Tsushima: Legends," a new cartoon app "Crunchyroll Manga," and the release date of Season 2 of the drama series "The Last of Us" were announced.

Roger Goodell, the commissioner of the US National Football League (NFL), who attended as a guest speaker, introduced the latest trends in the development of sports entertainment, and Sony Honda Mobility also unveiled the electric vehicle 'Apilla 1', which is scheduled to receive orders starting in 2025, as an example of mobility innovation.

At the end of the press conference, President Totoki emphasized, “Sony’s ‘Creative Entertainment Vision’ involves creators, partners, and Sony employees working together to create infinite realities for everyone, thereby stimulating imagination and creating endless emotions (Kando).”
