Alchera Provides "Facial Liveness" Solution to Post Office Banking App

Alchera announced on the 7th that it has supplied its 'Facial Liveness' solution, which applies facial forgery detection technology to the postal banking application.

Alchera's facial liveness solution, now available on the Post Office Banking app, strengthens identity verification procedures for non-face-to-face financial transactions and helps prevent financial accidents. This solution uses artificial intelligence to detect forgery and falsification of facial features based on real-time selfies, enabling quick and accurate identification of traders.

Alchera's facial liveness technology defends against various fraudulent authentication attempts and focuses on verifying "real human faces" by distinguishing between real and fake images. In particular, it effectively blocks spoofing attempts using 2D images or smartphone and PC display screens.

Alchera is leading the way in building a safe financial transaction environment for citizens, targeting financial institutions and public institutions. Last year, it demonstrated its AI capabilities by passing the International Organization for Standardization (iBeta)'s "Face Forgery Detection Test" using an RGB camera. Furthermore, its AI technology earned it a designation as a superior procurement product.

Alchera CEO Hwang Young-gyu stated, “We are continuously expanding our business areas in the financial and public sectors, where non-face-to-face identity verification is essential,” and added, “Based on this case study from the Korea Post, we plan to actively promote the spread of the technology so that it can be applied to various public institutions.”
