Werobotics Wins Innovation Award at CES 2025 for Second Consecutive Year

Wearable robot leading company Werobotics (Co-CEOs Yeonbaek Lee and Yongjae Kim, Professor at Korea University of Technology and Education) will participate in 'CES 2025', the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, and introduce the wearable robot 'WIM (We Innovate Mobility, hereinafter referred to as WIM)' in line with the 'one robot per person era'. WIM won the CES Robotics Innovation Award for two consecutive years, following 2024, and Werobotics plans to enter the US market in earnest this year.

WIM has already proven itself as a leader in the wearable robot market, selling over 400 units in just six months since its domestic launch in 2024. Currently, WIM is positioned as a wearable robot that provides optimal solutions for a wide range of consumers, from those in their 20s and 30s seeking to improve their walking health and those in their 70s and 80s seeking to enhance their walking ability, to sanitation workers and rangers at the National Park Service whose jobs require continuous, intense walking.

The WIM, which uses single-motor technology, boasts a lightweight weight of 1.6 kg by optimizing the symmetrical auxiliary frame structure with a single motor, and can be easily attached and detached by anyone in less than 30 seconds.

WIM is not only lightweight, but also effective in improving walking health. A four-week WIM exercise program targeting seniors aged 70-80 in 2023 showed that 78% of participants experienced improvements in physical functions, including walking speed, endurance, and hip and ankle strength. As these test results demonstrate, WIM is the optimal solution for strengthening lower body muscles, making it suitable for use across all age groups, from young to old.

Furthermore, WIM analyzes a user's gait based on AI and big data, linked to a dedicated mobile app, to provide personalized walking solutions. Users can maximize the effectiveness of WIM according to their usage patterns through various modes. WIM offers assistance mode, exercise mode, hiking mode (uphill/downhill), and low-speed walking mode, each with three levels of intensity.

Since launching WIM in 2024, Werobotics has been conducting nationwide experiential marketing activities, including hosting WIM seminars for senior exercise enthusiasts in Cheonan City and an experiential pop-up store in Busan with the concept of "Walking Together." Through these initiatives, the company has expanded consumer engagement with wearable robots and fulfilled its mission of improving the quality of life through technology.

We also opened the "Wim Walking Exercise Center," Korea's first wearable robot walking center, to help everyone in Korea incorporate wearable robots into their daily lives. The Wim Walking Exercise Center, which opened in March 2024, has welcomed approximately 1,000 visitors for one-on-one experiences in just eight months. The Wim Walking Exercise Center not only allows customers to experience WIM products before purchasing, but also offers customized, one-on-one exercise programs utilizing WIM under expert guidance.

Wirobotics Co-CEO Yeonbaek Lee said, “Since the launch of WIM in 2024, Wirobotics has held various experiential events to approach the public as a friendly wearable robot,” and “We are excited to be able to introduce WIM’s innovative walking solution to consumers around the world through our entry into the global market in 2025. Wirobotics will continue to strive to improve the quality of life by developing human-centered technologies so that wearable robots can naturally permeate the daily lives of various users.”

Meanwhile, Werobotics' CES booth is located at the Venetian Expo & Convention Center, Level 2, Halls AD, and its booth number is #54435.
