The Korea Fintech Industry Association signed a business agreement with the Digital Economy and Finance Research Institute.

On the 6th , the Korea Fintech Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) and the Digital Economy and Finance Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Research Institute) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Evaluation Data regarding digital finance and data utilization.

At the signing ceremony held at the O2 Tower in Yeouido, Lee Geun-joo, Chairman of the Korea Fintech Industry Association, Hong Du-seon, CEO of Korea Evaluation Data, and Jeong Yu-shin, President of the Digital Economy and Finance Research Institute, attended and pledged mutual cooperation with the goal of revitalizing digital finance and data-based industries.

Through this business agreement, the association, Korea Evaluation Data, and the research institute have agreed to collaborate closely toward the goal of "creating a digital financial ecosystem." Through this collaboration, they plan to maximize data utilization and pursue specific business objectives.

The main contents of this agreement include ▲ fostering and discovering promising data companies, ▲ supporting the growth and investment activation of digital finance companies, ▲ network support for data commercialization, ▲ providing consulting on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and listings of digital finance companies, and ▲ other collaborative projects for the development of the data industry digital finance ecosystem.

Lee Geun-ju, president of the Korea Fintech Industry Association, said, “This agreement, reached at a time when digital finance is rapidly evolving based on data, will serve as a starting point for creating new business opportunities through the combination of data and fintech.” He added, “The association will continue to expand cooperation with various partners to develop the digital finance ecosystem.”

Hong Du-seon, CEO of Korea Evaluation Data, said, “Data is a core resource of the modern financial industry,” and added, “Through this agreement, we will advance data analysis and utilization to support fintech companies in securing competitiveness in the market.”
