MyHerb announced on the 6th that it had secured 4.3 billion won in Series A funding. This funding round was successful in recognition of MyHerb's technological prowess and growth potential. Key investors included Korea Investment Partners, Hana Ventures, Big Basin, Schmidt, and Digital Healthcare Partners (DHP). This brings MyHerb's cumulative investment to 5 billion won.
MyHub provides medical AI solutions through its integrated medical AI platform, "MyLink." This platform combines image normalization AI processing technology, AI integration with hospital systems, and medical information collection and analysis technology, enabling hospitals to easily adopt AI solutions.
Based on this investment, MyHerb plans to actively pursue global business expansion, focusing on the Southeast Asian market. Southeast Asia is a region with limited access to quality healthcare services, and the introduction of MyHerb's AI technology is expected to contribute to improving the quality of healthcare services. Furthermore, MyHerb plans to develop a patient-centric service that provides comprehensive health screening packages and integrated reports, enabling patients to receive comprehensive care from disease prediction to testing, diagnosis, and management.
An investment manager at Korea Investment Partners explained the investment rationale, saying, "MyHub's AI-based integrated medical platform will accelerate the adoption of AI services in medical institutions, and this is expected to lead to improved quality of AI-based medical services. Furthermore, discussions are underway not only in Korea but also in countries like Malaysia, suggesting accelerated expansion into overseas markets in the future."
Yang Hyuk, CEO of MyHub, said, “This investment is very meaningful in that it lays the foundation for both hospitals and patients to experience better medical services through AI,” and added, “We will widely spread the benefits of medical AI through global expansion, including the Southeast Asian market.”
