Orange Planet Startup Foundation Holds Regular Recruitment for the First Half of 2025

Smilegate Orange Planet Startup Foundation (hereinafter Orange Planet, Center Director Sangbong Seo) announced on the 6th that it will begin regular recruitment for the first half of 2025.

The first half of the year's regular recruitment period is open to startups with teams of two or more people and established within the past five years. Interested startups can submit an application form on the Orange Planet website. The deadline is the 31st.

Approximately 15 teams will be selected. On average, 10 teams will be selected for the "Orange Garden" program and 5 for the "Orange Farm" program. Orange Garden targets aspiring entrepreneurs and teams requiring support for their initial business models. Orange Farm selects teams that need to attract investment and further develop their businesses.

Building on its decade of startup support expertise, Orange Planet has established a support system to accelerate entrepreneurial success. All selected teams are provided with mentoring opportunities, where they can receive practical advice from experienced entrepreneurs. A dedicated one-on-one manager system is also in place, providing customized benefits to each selected team.

Orange Garden selected teams will receive office space for up to six months. Customized workshops and coaching sessions with experts in each field will also be provided to accelerate business growth at each stage. Teams that receive outstanding evaluations will receive follow-up support, including commercialization grants and opportunities for investment review.

Orange Farm's selected teams will receive office space for 12 months and an initial investment of up to 500 million won to build a solid foundation for growth.

Smilegate Investment will also provide venture capital (VC) mentoring to attract follow-up investment and investment opportunities linked to the private investment-led Technology Incubation Program (TIPS). To date, Smilegate Investment's early-stage investment team has invested in approximately 40 teams selected by Orange Planet. Starting this year, the company plans to actively consider investing in teams with a high potential for successful global expansion.

Seo Sang-bong, director of the Orange Planet Center, said, “We will select startups with clear core targets and a high possibility of success in global expansion, and help them succeed with systematic support and specialized programs. We look forward to the challenges of young entrepreneurs who want to change the world with their own ideas.”
