SNP Lab, a data privacy specialist, announced on the 24th that it won the Excellence Award from the Korea Tourism Organization President's Award for Growth Tourism Venture and the Encouragement Award from the Korea Tourism Organization President's Award for the Tourism Global Challenge Program at the '2024 Excellent Tourism Venture Day' event hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization.
SNP Lab participated in the SLUSH Startup, a Nordic startup festival, and was selected as an award-winning company in the IT category for its innovation in AI tourism recommendation curation for personalized AI Korean tourism services for individuals and businesses by utilizing the MZ generation's MyData information and Korean tourism public data information and connecting AI learning networks with 'MyD', a tourism curation service for individuals and businesses.
The Excellent Tourism Venture Day event is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, and is held annually to share the achievements of tourism venture companies and promote networking. The 'Tourism Venture of the Year' is selected every year by evaluating the number of jobs created, sales, scale of investment attracted, and contribution to the tourism industry, and an awards ceremony was held for a total of 34 companies.
An official from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said, “Tourism venture companies are playing a crucial role in leading the future of the Korean tourism industry,” and “the government will continue to support their growth.”
Meanwhile, the Korea Tourism Organization is preparing various programs to assist tourism venture companies in their global expansion, and plans to strengthen support for attracting investment and developing overseas markets next year.
The '2024 Tourism Venture Day' event is establishing itself as an important platform for promoting innovation and development in the tourism industry.
