Vision I Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Min-sik) , a mobile access platform specialist, announced on the 6th that it was finally selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' private investment-led technology startup program 'TIPS'.
The TIPS program identifies promising startups with outstanding technologies from the private sector and collaborates with the government to support their research, development, and commercialization. Visioni was selected upon the recommendation of Plan H Ventures, the first construction accelerator and operator of TIPS, founded with 100% investment from Hoban Group. Visioni will receive approximately KRW 500 million in R&D and commercialization funding over the next two years.
Visioni has developed a mobile access sensor (product name: PassMe) that enables quick and easy access via smartphone without replacing existing access systems. PassMe is a solution that supports mobile access by attaching a sensor without replacing existing RF card access infrastructure. It is currently used in over 1,000 residential facilities, including private homes, shared entrances, and social housing. Its use is also expanding to include shared entrances in public rental apartments and private company buildings.
Through the TIPS program, Visioni plans to advance RF energy harvesting technology that enables semi-permanent use of mobile access sensors and develop mobile access sensors that meet global market demand, thereby accelerating its full-scale expansion into overseas markets.
Park Min-sik, CEO of Vision I, said, “This selection as TIPS has provided a bridgehead for us to expand from the domestic mobile access solution development to the global market,” and added, “We plan to expand our global market presence to various fields where RFID terminals are installed, such as not only residential facilities but also office facilities, tourism and accommodation facilities, and kiosks.”
