Venture Square and the Early-Stage Investment Accelerator Association Launch a Startup Ecosystem Reporter Group

The first batch of startup ecosystem reporters was selected and officially began their activities with a kickoff event on the 3rd. The 24-member team, jointly operated by Venture Square (CEO Myeong Seung-eun) and the Early-stage Investment Accelerator Association (Chairman Jeon Hwa-seong) , will contribute to the revitalization of the startup ecosystem through on-site reporting and related content production.

The selected reporters will operate under the name of 'Startup Ecosystem Reporters', and Venture Square , a professional media outlet that has reported startup ecosystem news for the past 15 years, will be in charge of managing and publishing the reporters' interview content, while the association will be in charge of operating the reporters' offline meetings and activating the community.

The press corps is required to write at least two articles or interviews per month, through which they plan to uncover and convey diverse stories about startups.

The January kickoff meeting included a lecture by reporter Cho Kwang-hyun on interview article writing, along with training on AI-powered writing and automated information gathering. Reporters will conduct individual reporting activities, referencing a list of interviewees provided by the association and Venture Square. Their qualifications will be maintained based on their ability to complete their missions.

A diverse group of people, including current startup professionals, startup support organization employees, and university students, applied to join the press corps, and 24 were selected in the first round. In addition to interviews, these individuals will be able to engage in a variety of content creation activities, including event reporting, translating foreign news, and writing columns. The Venturesquare editorial team makes the final decision on whether to publish their articles.

The inaugural activity of the Startup Ecosystem Reporters is expected to develop into a sustainable community with a second and third term. After six months, reporters who demonstrate active participation will be provided with opportunities for continued participation.

This press corps operation is expected to play a significant role in recording and disseminating diverse voices within the Korean startup ecosystem.
