
Tomato System announced on the 6th that it has formed a consortium with vertical solution specialist Metanet DL to win the contract for the 'Korea University Next-Generation Portal and Academic Information System Construction Project' worth approximately 10 billion won and will begin in earnest.
This project involves a complete rebuild of Korea University's existing academic information system using the latest IT technologies. The goal is to build a future-oriented information system that responds quickly to the rapidly changing university education environment and reflects user needs. The scope of the project includes a portal and academic administration system, mobile services, an electronic contract system, groupware, and an electronic approval system. It also encompasses a diverse range of functions, including a regulations management system, a management statistics system, and an advanced chatbot.
Tomato Systems will play a key role in this project, taking a 47% stake (approximately KRW 4.8 billion). The company will build a variety of solutions, including a graduate school admissions system, ancillary administrative system, and a portal system, and will focus on implementing next-generation systems that reflect the latest IT trends.
Through this project, Korea University plans to provide students and faculty with easy-to-use, integrated administrative services and significantly improve user convenience and satisfaction through personalized services. Furthermore, Korea University plans to maximize work efficiency by building an integrated portal system that allows students to access and process necessary information at a glance from a single portal. Furthermore, by strengthening connectivity with mobile services, Korea University plans to provide an environment where students can easily access and utilize academic information anytime, anywhere.
