The Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center (Director Yongwoo Kim, hereinafter referred to as Busan Creative Economy) announced that Blue Lions (CEO Hwanguk Ji), a 2024 Busan Representative Technology Startup (Bright Club) supported by Busan Metropolitan City, was finally selected for the 'TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups, hereinafter referred to as TIPS),' a private investment-led technology startup support program of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, last December.
TIPS is a program that discovers and supports promising startups with innovative technologies. Selected companies will receive up to 700 million won in research and development (R&D) and commercialization funds over two years.
The "Red Button" solution selected for this TIPS project is an innovative service that optimizes analysis of personal health data and recommends health functional foods, reducing the financial and time losses associated with poor health management. The service will manage previously unknown health indicators and recommend health functional foods, previously purchased online, based on analysis of their correlation to health.
Blue Lions CEO Ji Hwan-guk said, “Through these tips, we will develop a solution that helps people find their health, as personal health data is a significant part of our lives.”
Accordingly, Busan Changgyeong PM Kim Seong-woo said, “Blue Lions is expected to establish itself as a company that continues to grow by attracting seed investment and being selected as a TIPS company this year, conducting research and development (R&D) of innovative solutions, and diversifying and improving its business.”
