Ellis Group Signs Business Agreement with Rebellion

AI education solution company Ellis Group (CEO Jae-won Kim) signed a business agreement with AI semiconductor company Rebellion (CEO Seong-hyeon Park) to cooperate in revitalizing the domestic AI semiconductor ecosystem.

Ellis Group, which has been building AI-specific cloud infrastructure and strengthening its technological capabilities, is collaborating technically to build the Rebellion NPU cloud platform. Furthermore, the company will collaborate on developing and expanding business models so that AI services applicable to education and industry at home and abroad can be developed based on the Rebellion NPU.

Building on Ellis Group's PMDC (Portable Modular Data Center) development and operation capabilities, the company is also exploring ways to export data centers to various countries. EllisCloud PMDCs, which can be expanded as needed on a modular basis, offer greater flexibility in construction and operation than traditional data centers. Their power density and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) rival those of hyperscale data centers, ensuring highly efficient resource utilization.

With this agreement, the two companies will expand their collaboration beyond technological collaboration to encompass diverse areas, including education. The AI model for Ellis Group's AI digital textbook, currently under development, will be developed using Rebellion's NPU. They will also collaborate with global universities and promote AI training and hackathons for employees. This partnership aims to drive everything from research and development of NPU-based services to their industry adoption through education.

Kim Jae-won, CEO of Ellis Group, said, “We expect that the collaboration between Ellis Group, which continuously researches and develops AI infrastructure, platforms, and AI models, and Rebellion, which develops high-performance NPUs, will accelerate the growth of both companies in terms of technology and business.” He added, “We will work with Rebellion to expand the domestic AI semiconductor ecosystem and introduce new business models in various industries to make the competitiveness of domestic AI companies known to the world.”
