Videocon concludes its "Generative AI Short Film Contest Starring Na Moon-hee"

Video production platform Videocon announced on December 26 that it had successfully concluded the operation and awards ceremony of the 'Na Moon-hee Starring Generative AI Short Film Contest'.

The awards ceremony for the "Na Moon-hee Starring Generative AI Short Film Contest" was held at Yongsan CGV on December 11th. The "Na Moon-hee Starring Generative AI Short Film Contest" garnered attention from the entertainment and AI industries as the first case in which a star actor was granted permission to use their intellectual property (IP). The short film "Naya, Moon-hee," a compilation of the contest's winning entries, premiered exclusively at CGV on December 24th. It's also unusual for works submitted to a video contest to be screened in theaters.

This year's generative AI short film contest, starring actress Na Moon-hee, was hosted by Videocon. Videocon is a contest management platform specializing in the video industry, handling everything from contest planning to operation. Notable examples include the "JTBC Short-Form Video Contest" and the "Independence Movement Video Contest" in collaboration with the Korean Liberation Association.
