Hummingbirds, the operator of enterprise communications SaaS Baby Whale, announced that it has secured seed investment from Primer.
Baby Whale is a corporate communications solution designed to foster organizational culture, focusing on functions that foster communication, particularly recognition and celebration. Its primary clients include companies in commerce and platform industries that frequently interact with customers and prioritize rapid feedback and initiatives. Baby Whale automates internal cultural systems through profile cards and random connect features, naturally encouraging employee engagement. Baby Whale operates on Slack, a corporate messenger, and its key clients include Sentbe, Rapolabs, Barogo, and Gangnam Unni.
Hummingbirds CEO Yoo Si-won, who experienced high turnover rates during his time as a developer, recognized a business opportunity based on his understanding of the MZ generation and the importance of organizational culture. Together with fellow developer and Director Ji-woo Jeong, Yoo decided to start a business to address communication issues within the company.
Hummingbirds recently launched BulkSend, a one-click notification and reminder tool, which has been adopted by over 30 companies in just one week. Through this, Hummingbird offers a variety of solutions that address not only organizational culture but also business communication efficiency.
CEO Yoo Si-won stated, “Our goal is to go beyond resolving internal communication issues and improve inefficiencies in external communication, thereby leading the global market.”
