Reconciliation Appoints Kim Jeong-won as Chief Product Officer

Birdview Co., Ltd. (CEOs Woong Lee and Kyungil Kim) , which operates the beauty platform Hwahae, announced on the 3rd that it is spurring global business expansion by hiring Kim Jeong-won, Chief Product Officer (CPO), who came from one of Korea's top three big tech companies.

As K-beauty continues to grow globally, Hwahae is expanding its global business and leaping forward as a K-beauty acceleration platform to increase accessibility and awareness of domestic beauty brands among overseas consumers.

Kim Jeong-won, CPO, is a product expert who has driven growth for over a decade, serving as a Product Owner (PO) and PO Lead at tech companies including Netmarble, Naver, Kakao, Toss, and Creme. At Toss, he particularly contributed to the growth of the company's advertising business into a core business through user-friendly strategies that connect users and brands.

Based on CPO Kim's extensive experience and expertise, Hwahae plans to establish a product strategy optimized for the global beauty market and solidify its position as a K-beauty platform by establishing business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) services that will enable K-beauty brands to grow alongside Hwahae.

Kim Jeong-won, CPO of Birdview, said, “I joined Hwahae because I deeply sympathize with the data capabilities that Hwahae has built up over the past 10 years, its unrivaled position in the beauty sector, and its future growth potential in the global market.” He added, “I will contribute to further activating Hwahae’s healthy cycle, where smart consumer choices lead to brand growth.”

Meanwhile, Hwahae launched its global web English version in November of last year to support the global expansion of domestic beauty brands, and plans to additionally launch a Japanese version in the first quarter of this year.
