The Ministry of SMEs and Startups launches the Small Business 365 service.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Oh Young-joo, hereinafter referred to as MSS) and the Small Business Market Promotion Agency (Chairman Park Seong-hyo, hereinafter referred to as SME Market Promotion Agency) announced that they have completed the pilot operation of ‘Small Business 365,’ a data-based management support platform for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners, and will launch the official service at 9:00 on the 2nd.

Small Business 365 is a platform that further enhances the 'Commercial District Information System' that has been in operation since 2006. It collects 64 public and private data, merges them into 22 types, and improves the quality and scope of the data. It also provides various services such as ▲Big Data Commercial District Analysis ▲My Store Management Diagnosis ▲Commercial District/Market Hot Trends ▲Policy Information All Guide, etc. to support data-based startup and management decision-making of aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners.

The main functions of Small Business 365 are as follows:

First, 'Big Data Commercial Area Analysis' is a service that helps prevent overcrowding and enhance competitiveness. It is an enhanced version of the commercial area analysis service that received great response from users in the existing commercial area information system.

We've added location assessment and delivery information analysis reports to provide the information needed to select a business location and industry, and we've also introduced a new "Follow" feature to help even users unfamiliar with digital technologies easily utilize the service.
Second, "My Store Management Diagnosis" analyzes the competitiveness, growth prospects, and viability of individual businesses based on factors such as sales and customer interest. It also provides information necessary for small business owners to develop management strategies, such as popular menu items by time of day and foot traffic.

Third, 'Commercial Area/Market Hot Trends' provides information on hot places reflecting specific customer segments and consumer trends, such as business districts with large office workers and delivery businesses with high delivery sales, helping businesses select locations that align with their startup ideas.

Lastly, the 'Policy Information All Guide' provides information on government support projects in conjunction with 'Small Business 24,' a policy information platform for small business owners.

Meanwhile, the major improvements made during the pilot operation period are as follows.

First, we collected feedback through a bug-catching event ('Get the Bug', November 29, 2024 – January 31, 2025), and actively implemented the submitted improvements. The event will continue until the end of January this year, even after the official launch, and selected participants will receive a small prize.

We've also introduced a new AI chatbot service. It periodically learns about support programs offered by Small Business 24 and, when users ask questions in natural language, provides guidance on programs that meet their needs. This feature is also available on Small Business 24.

Finally, Small Business 24 introduces a condition-based support program search function, and also provides a customized notification service that proactively guides users to the right support program through analysis of registered business information and behavioral data (logs).

Small Business 24 can be accessed through the 'Detailed View by Support Project' button in the 'Policy Information All Guide' menu of Small Business 365, and the service can be used with a unified ID without separate membership registration.

Won Young-jun, Director of the Small Business Policy Bureau at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, “Small Business 365 is a platform that supports aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners to make better decisions based on data. In particular, as the number ‘365’ suggests, it will help aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners easily obtain the information they need anytime, anywhere.”

Park Seong-hyo, CEO of Small Business 365, said, “We actively reflected users’ feedback during the pilot operation period of Small Business 365, and we have also newly introduced a customized notification service linked to an artificial intelligence chatbot and Small Business 24 to make it easier to check for necessary support programs.” He added, “We will continue to make efforts to ensure that Small Business 365 can provide practical help to aspiring entrepreneurs in their successful startups and small business owners in their management stability.”
