DLG Law Firm (formerly D-Lite Law Firm, Managing Attorney Wonhee Cho) announced on the 2nd that it has appointed Attorney Hee-chul Ahn (4th Bar Examination) as its new Co-Representative Attorney. Attorney Hee-chul Ahn joined DLG Law Firm as a partner attorney and was appointed as Co-Representative Attorney.
Co-CEO Attorney Hee-chul Ahn graduated from the Department of Physics at Pohang University of Science and Technology and the Law School of Seoul National University. He has since accumulated expertise in various legal fields, including startup consulting, M&A, corporate finance, and economic policy.
Attorney Ahn has provided expert advice to numerous startups as they expand overseas through platforms like Flip. He has also handled the acquisition of leading startups through M&A to large corporations or private equity funds. Notably, he received a commendation from the Minister of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Accelerator Association's Accelerator Industry Specialization Award for his contributions to the development of the startup ecosystem. His expertise has been recognized by numerous awards from domestic and international media outlets.
Attorney Ahn currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Industrial and Management Engineering at Pohang University of Science and Technology, where he lectures on startups, M&A, and intellectual property law. He also serves as a director of the Korea Angel Investment Association and an advisory attorney for the Korea Accelerator Association. He contributes to the development of the startup ecosystem as a mentor at the Asan Nanum Foundation's Maru 180 and Seoul Fintech Lab. He also serves as the Director of the DLG Policy Center, which provides integrated regulatory risk management solutions to partner companies based on strategic analysis from diverse perspectives, including administrative, legislative, and media perspectives.
In addition, he has published books on startups and M&A, such as "Startup Legal Guide 3.0" and "Investment Contract Guidebook for Entrepreneurs," and has contributed articles on startups and M&A to numerous media outlets, taking the lead in providing legal support to startups.
