Pixel and F86, companies located in the Pangyo Gyeonggi Cultural Creation Hub operated by the Gyeonggi Content Agency, signed a business agreement to establish a film industry cooperation model at the Gyeonggi Content Agency Southern Regional Center on December 19.
This agreement is a collaborative effort that was achieved through exchanges between companies centered around the Pangyo Gyeonggi Cultural Creation Hub. The two companies, operating in different areas of the content industry, shared a common understanding of the need for a structure that would allow filmmakers to continue their creative activities after their creative work.
Pixel, a company that has developed and operated small-scale community platform technologies based on industry and job functions, possesses extensive experience designing communities centered on content and people. Leveraging this technology and operational capabilities, Pixel plans to gradually implement a collaborative model connecting filmmakers.
F86 has been focusing on recording, preserving, and utilizing film content, building a database of independent and short films, and archiving film festivals. Last September, the organization took charge of operating the Gyeonggi Film School Festival, co-hosted by the Gyeonggi Content Agency, connecting the next generation of filmmakers with the educational field.
This agreement is significant in that it stems from the shared background of both companies' film majors and stems from a shared awareness of the structural limitations that hinder filmmakers' post-creative activities. The two companies will pursue community experiments and collaborative projects centered around filmmakers, and explore expanding the film industry's collaborative ecosystem with various partners, including the Gyeonggi Cultural Creative Hub in Pangyo.
With this agreement as a momentum, the Gyeonggi Content Agency plans to continue supporting the expansion of exchanges and joint projects among companies located in the Pangyo Gyeonggi Cultural Creation Hub.
