Naver D2SF announced on the 30th that it has made a new investment in autonomous AI home solution startup Sorcerics (CEO Ryu Hyeon-jong). Sorcerics has developed an AI home solution that proactively provides services by understanding the user's situation, intent, and context, and is planning a global product launch in the North American market in the first quarter of 2026.
Based on the philosophy of "Ambient AI," Sorceryx aims to create a fully autonomous AI home where the smart home proactively provides services on behalf of the user. While existing smart homes are passive, responding only to user commands, Sorceryx leverages a single camera and its proprietary large-scale language model (LLM) to comprehensively analyze user gestures, behaviors, and environmental information, providing optimized services. For example, rather than simply detecting the user's bedtime, it adjusts the lighting based on their sleep readiness.
Leveraging on-device AI technology, Sorceryx operates five AI models simultaneously, protecting privacy and securing product competitiveness by manufacturing hardware at a quarter of the cost of competitors. The Sorceryx co-founding team consists of engineering experts with over a decade of experience in core product development and research at global tech companies, including Google.
Sorceryx is currently in beta testing in North America and plans to launch its product through Kickstarter in the first quarter of 2026. It also plans to participate in CES 2026 to showcase its product to global customers and partners. In the North American smart home market, approximately 48% of households own at least one smart device, but proactive integration solutions are lacking. Sorceryx aims to leverage this to gain market leadership and establish a barrier to entry.
Naver D2SF Center Director Yang Sang-hwan said, “The true value lies in technology understanding users and implementing it into natural services,” and added, “We expect Sorceryx to create a smart environment that provides convenience to users by going beyond the limitations of existing smart homes.”
