CONTEK signs contract with Kazakhstan government research institute to build additional satellite ground stations.

Contec announced on the 30th that it had signed a contract with a Kazakh government-funded research institute to build additional satellite ground stations.

This contract follows Contec's successful 2024 contract for an integrated turnkey solution, including a satellite payload, ground station, and image processing system, for a Kazakh government agency. This contract is significant because the technological reliability and operational performance accumulated during the previous project led to this additional contract.

Contec also stated that additional contracts are expected to be signed early next year, and discussions are ongoing regarding the construction of additional ground stations and follow-up projects based on operational performance following the initial deployment. This demonstrates that collaboration with the same partner is expanding beyond one-time contracts into continuous business opportunities.

A Contec official said that they are continuing their cooperative relationship based on trust with existing customers, centered on Central Asia, and that they plan to expand their ground station business centered on overseas markets and provide integrated solutions encompassing the design, construction, operation, and management of satellite ground stations worldwide.
