Ubase Group Builds Multilingual AI Interpreter Agent for DB Insurance

Ubase Group (CEO Jinwon Mok), a domestic BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) company, has established a multilingual AI interpreter agent exclusively for foreigners at DB Insurance's complete sales monitoring center.

To commemorate this, the two companies held an opening ceremony at Ubase's headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, on December 18th. The event was attended by Ubase CEO Mok Jin-won, Head of Management Innovation Kwon Ki-dong, DB Insurance General Manager Jang Young-seok, and Division Manager Park In-jun, and featured a demonstration of a multilingual interpretation AI agent.

Multilingual AI interpreting agents support Happy Call services, including confirming insurance subscription intent and providing contract guidance to foreign customers through AI-based real-time interpretation. This allows for accurate understanding of contract terms without language barriers, and by eliminating the need for a separate interpreter, it reduces waiting times and improves consultation efficiency.

The service initially supports four languages: English, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian. This initial support was based on the influx of international customers to DB Insurance. Ubase plans to expand the language support in the future to provide convenient consulting services to even more international customers.

Mok Jin-won, CEO of Ubase, said, “With the introduction of this AI agent, we aim to increase accessibility to financial services for foreign customers and strengthen the inclusiveness of our consulting services.” He added, “Ubase will accelerate the improvement of Happy Call work efficiency and customer service innovation, and support more foreign customers with convenient consulting by expanding supported languages and enhancing solutions.”
