Gyeonggi-do Indie Band Supports Entry to Vietnam Music Festival Stage

Gyeonggi Content Agency (President Yong-seok Tak) announced that through the 'Gyeonggi Music Business' project, which supports the overseas expansion of indie musicians, a Gyeonggi-do indie band achieved the success of performing on the stage of a representative music festival in Vietnam.

Indie bands 'DADADA' and 'HYANG', supported by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), were officially invited to perform at the 'HOZO CITY TET FEST' held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from December 27th to 31st. The festival is one of Vietnam's largest music events held at the end of each year and is considered a representative stage for local popular music.

This performance was made possible by the two teams' musicality and stage presence, which were highly praised by local officials at the "Gyeonggi Music Business" meeting and showcase held last September. On December 28th, the two teams took the main stage and delivered performances that showcased their individual personalities, ending with a rapturous response from the local audience. "Dadada" is the winner of the 2025 IndieStance, and "Hyang" is a top 3 team from the 2024 IndieStance, attracting attention in the Korean indie music scene.

Additionally, 'Scent' expanded its connection with local audiences by holding an additional performance at the Ho Chi Minh City performance hall 'Ngô Thời Nhiệm' on December 31st after the official performance.

Following the success of this performance, Gyeonggi Music Festival's support for overseas expansion is expanding across Asia. The mixed duo "Moher," who participated in the 2025 Gyeonggi Music Business Showcase, will perform at Japan's "Okinawa Music Rain 2026," while the bands "Can't Be Blue" and "Ghost Bookstore" were invited to Taiwan's "Emerge Fest 2026."

A Gyeonggi Music Business official stated, “We are continuing to support local indie musicians to achieve tangible results in the overseas music market through the Gyeonggi Music Business project,” and “We will continue to provide systematic support so that they can expand their scope of activities beyond Asia to the global stage.”
