ITI Eyes Healthcare Business Division Director Jang Hyeong-jong announced that he was selected as a contributor to ICT-based medical policy in 2025 and received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare annually awards the Minister's Award to individuals who have contributed to the revitalization of ICT-based medical policies, including medical support for medically underserved areas, exchange of medical information, preservation of medical records at closed or closed medical institutions, and establishment and utilization of medical data.
Director Jang Hyeong-jong was recognized for his contributions to the establishment and stable operation of a medical records storage system for closed and defunct medical institutions. As Project Manager, he established the work structure and played a key role in establishing a sustainable operating environment for the system's grand opening in July 2025.
Furthermore, even in the crisis situation of September 2025, when multiple systems were destroyed by a fire at the National Information Resources Service, the agency swiftly responded and coordinated recovery management, minimizing any gaps in medical information. This effort completed the restoration of the lost medical records storage system and supported the uninterrupted management and preservation of medical records from closed or defunct medical institutions. This achievement is recognized as a case study in simultaneously securing the public and secure nature of medical information.
Director Jang stated that medical records from closed or suspended medical institutions are important public assets directly related to the public's right to health, and that he will continue to strive to ensure that medical information is safely managed and utilized through responsible, field-oriented operations.
Meanwhile, ITIs is recognized as a company that has consistently supported public healthcare policies in the medical ICT sector. Building on its accumulated experience in public healthcare ICT, including the Health Information Superhighway and the Clinical Information Exchange System, the company plans to continuously strengthen its credibility and competitiveness.
