Honest AI (Honest AI, CEO Sanghoon Seo), a leading company in financial AI transformation (AX), announced that it has secured a foundation for growth by attracting a total of KRW 14.4 billion in investment.
This round was led by global family office investment firm AAK as the lead investor, with existing shareholder Aton, a fintech security company, making a follow-on investment. AAK has executed over 160 investments, primarily in real estate and corporate innovation, and has recently expanded its investment horizons to include emerging industries such as fintech and artificial intelligence.
Investors reportedly focused on the scalability of Honest AI's BaaS-based AI platform for financial institutions and the proven profitability of its real-world operational data. The fact that this large-scale investment was secured despite a challenging investment environment is seen as a reflection of confidence in the company's business stability and growth potential.
Despite the tightening financial regulations this year, Honest AI has continued to grow its flagship service, the AI-linked lending platform Honest Fund. As of December of this year, new loan volume has increased 4.2-fold since its launch, and the cumulative linked loan volume has exceeded KRW 1.465 trillion.
The company explained that it has secured both growth and soundness by maintaining a low delinquency rate even as its loan handling scale expands through its self-developed AI risk management solution.
Its technological competitiveness has also been recognized internationally. Honest AI won the Financial Services Commission Chairman's Award, the grand prize, at the Maeil Business Newspaper Fintech Awards 2025. It was also selected as the lead agency for the next-generation AI national project sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, and is currently conducting research on causal-based AGI core technologies.
Honest AI plans to use this investment to advance its AI technology and expand its AI solutions for financial institutions. The investor believes Honest AI has high potential to grow into a core platform that improves risk management and operational efficiency for financial institutions.
CEO Seo Sang-hoon stated that this investment attraction reflects the market's trust in the company's technological competitiveness and business performance, and that the company will continue to strengthen the competitiveness of its AI-based financial platform and promote innovation in the financial industry.
