Panesia announced on the 2nd that it won the Daejeon Metropolitan City Economic Science Award last month and was selected as a model small and medium-sized venture company in the Daejeon-Sejong region.

Jeong Myeong-su, CEO of Panesia, won the Grand Prize in the Venture Business category at the 31st Daejeon Metropolitan City Economic and Science Awards Ceremony held at Daejeon City Hall on the 23rd of last month. The Daejeon Metropolitan City Economic and Science Awards recognize individuals who have driven innovation and coexistence in six areas: venture businesses, science and technology, industry-academia cooperation, exports, distribution and consumer protection, and agriculture.

Since its launch as a KAIST faculty startup, Panesia has experienced rapid growth. Through talent acquisition and development, participation in standards organizations, and the publication of academic papers and technology white papers, Panesia has shared its vision and direction for AI infrastructure with global industry and academia. These efforts have been recognized as a successful example of a faculty startup, leading to awards.

Since its founding in 2022, Panesia has been valued at approximately 340 billion won in just two years and has secured over 100 billion won in cumulative investment, including subsidies. Building on the technological prowess cultivated since its research lab days, Panesia is expanding its business into next-generation AI infrastructure and semiconductor design.

The company prioritizes the growth and achievement of its employees as its core values, operating a nationwide recruitment program and in-house talent development program. Since 2023, the company has held recruitment briefings across the country, and in the second half of 2025, briefings were held at over 20 universities. Currently, the company employs approximately 70 employees, providing its new hires with cutting-edge semiconductor design experience.

Panesia continues to share its vision and technologies for next-generation AI infrastructure design through standards body activities, public papers, technical white papers, and lecture videos. In 2025, it participated in official panel presentations for the CXL Consortium and UALink Consortium, and attracted industry attention by releasing white papers on AI data center connectivity and semiconductor technology.

Additionally, Panesia received the Daejeon-Sejong Regional SME and Venture Business Administration Director's Award at the "2025 Daejeon-Sejong Exemplary SME and Venture Business Awards Ceremony" held on the 29th of last month. This award recognizes Panesia's achievements in industry-academia cooperation and technology exchange, large-scale engineering recruitment and talent development, and contributions to the local economy.

CEO Jeong Myeong-su said, “This is the result of all executives and employees faithfully performing their respective roles,” and added, “We will continue to grow together with our members in the future.”
