Job Korea (CEO Hyun-Jun Yoon) announced on the 5th that it has completed the business transfer transaction of Brain Commerce's career platform 'Job Planet' by December 31, 2025, and has incorporated Job Planet as a subsidiary starting January 1, 2026.
Through this acquisition, JobKorea will transition from its existing job posting-centric platform to an AI-driven career platform that combines company information and career data. JobKorea plans to leverage the global recruitment, company information, and career connection structures established by Indeed and LinkedIn, and expand them to suit the Korean market.
By combining Job Korea's massive recruitment data with Job Planet's company reviews and organizational culture data, we expect to be able to provide job seekers with an AI-driven career support experience that goes beyond simple job posting recommendations and provides explanations for their selections. Through this, we aim to strengthen our competitiveness as Korea's leading career platform, trusted by both job seekers and companies.
Jobplanet will maintain its existing brand and service operating system, while strengthening its community function based on the real-life experiences of companies and their members to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the company. Through this, JobKorea plans to enhance its platform with a service system that enhances the quality of decision-making at the pre-application "selection stage."
This acquisition does not entail organizational integration or management changes, and Jobplanet will continue to operate stably based on its existing operating system. Organizational operational matters will be reviewed and reflected in a phased manner, prioritizing user experience and service continuity.
Job Korea views this acquisition as a key part of its mid- to long-term strategy to become an AI- and data-centric tech company. The strategy is to enhance the overall service quality of the platform and strengthen its market leadership as Korea's leading recruitment platform.
Yoon Hyun-jun, CEO of Job Korea, said, “This acquisition is a strategic decision to leap forward as an AI career partner responsible not only for post-recruitment but also for the entire pre-application selection process. Based on our accumulated data and technological competitiveness, we will solidify our market-leading HR-Tech leadership.”
