Bowon Chemical Completes Expansion of Chungju Plant No. 5

Bowon Chemical (CEO Heo Chan-hoe), a total chemical solutions company, announced on the 5th that it has completed the expansion of its fifth factory on a 9,900-square-meter site in Judeok-eup, Chungju-si. This expansion includes the addition of plywood machines, binder coating machines, release paper strippers, and inspection machines.

The new plywood machine can press up to four layers and 1,900mm wide products, with an annual production capacity of up to 3,168,000 meters. This is expected to produce approximately 570,000 units of floor mats for passenger vehicles.

Bowon Chemical plans to expand its fifth plant in the second half of this year. The new plant building and T-die extruder will produce TPO artificial leather for eco-friendly automobiles with improved quality compared to existing calendar-type materials. The company aims to produce 6,336,000 meters annually and support new vehicle models.

CEO Heo Chan-hoe stated, "By expanding our production capacity in new product development and display materials, we will accelerate our ability to provide customized solutions and grow our sales." Since its founding in 1995, Bowon Chemical has grown primarily through its automotive interior materials, construction materials, and high-performance seat materials. The company also boasts a one-stop manufacturing system for processing plastic raw materials such as PVC, TPO, and PU.
