Star Asset Partners, a domestic F&B and beauty investment firm, announced that it invested 100 million won in LPIO Wellness, a non-invasive technology-based medical beauty company, through the 'K-Food Star SAP-YNA Private Investment Fund No. 1' jointly managed with accelerator Y&Archer, Inc.
Star Asset Partners noted that L.P.G.O. Wellness is building a total wellness model that integrates device manufacturing, distribution, and service operations into a single structure. L.P.G.O. combines its skin and body care franchise and aesthetics operating model with medical and beauty device manufacturing and distribution capabilities, establishing a complete operational system within a single company.
LPG Wellness provides services through various channels, including directly operated centers, franchised stores, hospitals and clinics, and hotel spas, focusing on energy-based, non-invasive equipment. Directly operated and franchised centers serve as test beds for validating the company's devices, products, and service packages in real-world customer environments. This allows for service improvements and new initiatives based on field data.
Furthermore, beyond simply selling devices, the company's structure, which standardizes treatment protocols, operating manuals, and customer management processes to maintain a certain level of quality and safety across various channels, including medical institutions and aesthetic salons, was also a factor in the investment decision. This standardization capability is being evaluated as a competitive advantage during franchise expansion and overseas expansion.
Star Asset Partners explained that LPG Wellness has diversified channel risk through a diversified revenue structure that combines medical devices, body and skin care services, health functional foods, and inner beauty products, and has mid- to long-term growth potential through cross-selling and data linkage.
Elpigio Wellness was discovered through Star Asset Partners' second round of its "K-FOOD STAR" placement program. This investment is a follow-up investment, based on the proven business performance and growth potential demonstrated during the training process. Star Asset Partners plans to provide phased support for the company's direct-operated stores and franchises, licensing and overseas expansion, and brand enhancement.
