
ITIs Co., Ltd. announced that its executive director, Choi Hyeon-seok, received a commendation from the Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment on December 31 in recognition of his contributions to the development of policies in the fields of climate, energy and environment.
Senior Researcher Choi Hyun-seok serves as Project Manager (PM) for the Integrated Maintenance of Computer Resources at the Environmental Research Information Center of the National Institute of Environmental Research. He has provided technical support for environmental policies by ensuring the stable operation and advancement of the institution's core information systems. He has been highly recognized for his consistent enhancement of system stability and security through annual infrastructure improvements, establishing best practices in public IT operations.
In particular, Chief Choi transformed the existing infrastructure into a fully redundant system and strengthened network survivability, laying the foundation for stable system operation even in the event of a large-scale failure. Furthermore, he simultaneously improved system availability and security through regular inspections of servers, networks, and security equipment, vulnerability management, and the improvement of a failure response system. This has been recognized as establishing a stable operating foundation for core information systems supporting public environmental policies.
