Patent vertical AI company WortIntelligence (CEO Jeong-ho Yoon) announced that it is pursuing a project to build a patent AI agent for the Intellectual Property Office's (IPO) AX (Application for Patent Analysis). This project, part of the IPO AX program aimed at enhancing the usability of patent data, will fully utilize WortIntelligence's patent-specific AI technology.
This project leverages WortIntelligence's proprietary patent-specific LLM model and AI-ready data as its core foundation. The LLM, which precisely reflects the structure and technical language of patent documents, is combined with data refined to enable AI to instantly learn, infer, and respond to vast amounts of patent data. This aims to create a patent AI agent with high accuracy and reliability.
Wort Intelligence is Korea's only patent data E2E company, managing the entire process from patent data collection, processing, normalization, AI model development, service operation, and sales within a single structure. Its technological prowess and marketability have been proven through its AI patent search service, "Keywort," which has been adopted by approximately 1,000 companies.
Recently, the company expanded its AI-based patent research offerings with the launch of "Keyword Insight," an AI Native Research product line that goes beyond patent searches to support R&D strategy formulation. The company explained that the competitiveness of these products, data, and models has expanded into the public sector's AX business, leading to the establishment of the Intellectual Property Office's patent AI agent.
This project is expected to increase the accessibility and usability of patent data, expanding its practical application in diverse fields such as entrepreneurship, R&D, and commercialization. Furthermore, along with the Ministry of Intellectual Property's accelerated AX initiative, it is expected to contribute to strengthening the nation's technological competitiveness.
Based on this project, Wort Intelligence plans to further enhance its patented AI technology and, after a verification process, advance into the global patented vertical AI market.
