Wello Publishes 2026 Government-Supported Project Strategy Report

AI GovTech company Wello (CEO Yurianna Kim) published the '2026 Government Support Project Strategy Report' on the 7th, which comprehensively analyzed the government support project environment in 2026.

This report provides a comprehensive overview of the policy environment and trends of government-supported projects being implemented this year, helping businesses strategically prepare for each phase. Key projects from not only central government agencies but also metropolitan and local governments are included, allowing businesses to easily identify support strategies by sector.

In this report, Wello emphasized that government support programs should not be applied for piecemeal, but rather viewed as a core resource that can be applied continuously throughout a company's growth phase. It is designed to be utilized broadly, from start-up companies in their early stages to companies conducting R&D projects and preparing for scale-up.

According to the report, a total of 508 announcements related to startup support were announced in 2026, worth approximately KRW 3.4645 trillion. The report analyzed that the increase in new and expanded projects broadened the options for businesses. However, the report noted that the complex announcement structure and multi-layered support system necessitate a strategic approach to project selection and interpretation.

When companies utilize government-supported programs, Wello recommends preliminary information exploration, detailed requirements analysis, and direction setting to ensure business performance naturally progresses to the growth stage. To achieve this, Wellobiz, an AI-based policy and project recommendation service, can be utilized to streamline the job posting analysis and selection process.

The report also analyzed that with the full implementation of AI and deep tech-focused policies in government-supported projects in 2026, there will be a clear trend toward a shift beyond R&D to include market performance, validation, and commercialization. The project direction of major ministries is also shifting toward a performance-oriented structure.

The report also emphasized the need for collaboration with regional policies. As government support projects expand from central government-focused to regional ones, it explained that "regional-specific support projects," which consider key industries and policy directions in each region, could become a key element of corporate competitiveness.

Kim Yu-ri-anna, CEO of Wello, said, “I hope this report will serve as a practical reference for companies to utilize government-supported projects as strategic resources in a complex policy environment,” and added, “Through Wellobiz, you can systematically check the details of announcements and any changes.”
