Personal AI delivers keynote speech at the 2nd Korea-China MyData International Seminar

Personal AI (CEO Jaeyoung Lee), an AI data protection technology company, announced that it participated in the 2nd Korea-China MyData International Seminar held in Shanghai, China on December 20, 2025, contributing to the activation of the global MyData ecosystem.

Personal AI CEO Jaeyoung Lee, a member of the MyData Global board of directors, delivered the seminar's keynote address. Under the theme "Global Progress and Practice of MyData," he introduced the latest global MyData trends, blockchain, and privacy-preserving computing technologies.

The representative explained that MyData originated from a people-centered data sovereignty movement, with the core focus being individuals controlling their own data and deriving real value from its distribution. He went on to emphasize that while Korea is institutionalizing MyData in the finance, public services, and healthcare sectors, an individual sovereignty-centered approach is necessary to overcome the limitations of a government-led model.

In particular, the company proposed an approach based on an on-device data model. This model stores personal data on the user's device and combines blockchain and privacy-preserving computing technologies to ensure that only permissions are transferred, without data movement. This approach, it explains, enables the assetization of personal data and the creation of sustainable value.

The CEO stated that as a member of MyData Global's board of directors, he plans to spread Korea's advanced MyData experience across Asia and lead the development of the global MyData ecosystem by providing blockchain and privacy technology-based solutions. He also announced plans to strengthen cooperation with China to jointly explore MyData development models tailored to the Asian market.

This seminar, titled "Exploring Innovative Pathways to Elementalize and Monetize Personal Data," brought together over 50 experts. Four research findings were presented, including the MyData Annual Report and the report "MyData and Data Sovereignty in the AI Era." Participants agreed to actively pursue the establishment of MyData Asia, a regional MyData collaboration network in Asia.

Seminar organizers stated that MyData Asia will contribute to the development of the Asian personal data economy by strengthening cooperation between industry, academia, and research institutions in the Asian region, providing specialized services such as publishing the MyData journal, sharing global trends, and integrating member company resources.
