Seoul Bio Hub announced that it is recruiting Seoul-based bio and medical startups to participate in the BIO International Convention, a global bio industry expo.
The BIO International Convention is a global bio industry event attended by pharmaceutical and bio companies, investment firms, and research institutes from approximately 70 countries around the world. It is a representative venue for technology transactions and business cooperation, with tens of thousands of partnering meetings held annually.
Seoul Bio Hub plans to select eight Seoul-based bio and medical startups to participate in BIO USA 2026 and support their global market entry. Selected companies will receive a shared booth for corporate promotion and meetings, as well as KRW 3 million per company for access to Premier Access, BIO USA's official partnering system.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Seoul Investment Promotion Foundation, we will operate customized local investment attraction IR and global networking events that reflect the participating companies' technological areas and business needs. These programs will be attended by global venture capitalists, pharmaceutical business development and technology transfer managers, joint research partners, and legal and advisory experts.
Participating companies are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of their technological differentiation, business competitiveness, global expansion potential, and the specificity of their BIO USA participation plans. This support program goes beyond simple exhibition participation support. It analyzes the company's technology and business status through a four-month pre-event program and provides tailored IR and networking programs.
Last year, companies that participated in BIO USA with Seoul BioHub support held numerous partnering meetings with global pharmaceutical companies, investment firms, hospitals, and research institutes, and some companies even concretized their cooperation discussions by signing confidentiality agreements on-site.
Applications for this BIO USA support project can be submitted through the Seoul Bio Hub website until January 21st.
