Quantum technology specialist SDT announced that it has secured a total investment of 30 billion won from private equity fund management firm Praxis Capital Partners and NH Investment & Securities.
SDT plans to use the funds raised through this investment to build a hybrid infrastructure that combines AI and quantum computing, and to advance its core technologies. Through this, it aims to develop next-generation computing solutions capable of meeting the growing demand for large-scale computations driven by the proliferation of AI, and to strengthen its competitiveness in related markets.
Praxis Capital Partners, which led the investment, cited SDT's full-stack quantum and AI hybrid technology and its potential for business expansion as key investment drivers. SDT has secured Korea's first commercial quantum computer supply, leveraging its integrated hardware and software technology architecture.
SDT recently signed a contract to supply Korea's first commercial quantum hybrid system, demonstrating its technological maturity and commercialization capabilities. The company plans to capitalize on this investment to expand its business scope in both the public and private markets and expand the scale of its existing operations.
Additionally, SDT is working with NH Investment & Securities, the lead underwriter, to evaluate and prepare for a technology-specific listing. Based on its unique quantum/AI hybrid technology competitiveness and commercialization achievements, SDT is pursuing the technology-specific evaluation process and accelerating preparations with the goal of listing within the year.
Meanwhile, SDT is seeing visible sales growth as its quantum computer supply expands, particularly for AI data centers. The company anticipates significant future sales growth as additional supply contracts are signed sequentially.
