DS Danseok Signs MOU with Nano Nuclear Energy

DS Danseok, a resource recycling energy company, announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nano Nuclear Energy, a NASDAQ-listed US company and next-generation nuclear reactor developer, for the domestic introduction and strategic cooperation of micro-nuclear reactors.

This agreement aims to establish a cooperative system for the development and commercialization of micro-reactor technology and, based on this, to explore the potential for commercialization in the domestic market. Micro-reactors are easier to install and offer greater safety than larger reactors, and can be operated efficiently as a distributed power source, attracting attention as a next-generation energy source.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to establish a collaborative system across all aspects of commercialization, including technology review, cooperation in regulatory approvals, and supply chain integration, focusing on discovering a micro-reactor-based business model applicable to domestic industrial sites. They will also explore the possibility of phased introduction in response to changes in the domestic institutional environment.

This agreement is considered a prime example of collaboration between a global company possessing core micro-reactor technology and a domestic company with a strong energy industry network and manufacturing capabilities. DS Danseok will be responsible for project execution and will pursue the development of an operational model that applies a single micro-reactor to a single plant.

Through this collaboration, the two companies plan to examine the domestic applicability of micro-reactors and explore energy solutions suitable for industrial sites.
