CNT Tech Makes Follow-Up Investment in Flora Lounge, a Flower Distribution Startup

CNT Tech Co., Ltd. has made a Pre-A follow-up investment in Flora Lounge, a flower distribution innovation startup. Flora Lounge is an O2O-based flower tech company that leverages AI-based demand forecasting technology and proprietary distribution infrastructure to improve structural inefficiencies in the domestic flower industry.

Founded in 2021, Flora Lounge operates a premium flower delivery service, Flora Lounge, a flower subscription brand, Florano, and a fresh flower wholesale distribution platform, Flora Lounge x Biz, targeting both B2C and B2B markets. Building on its promised delivery service in the metropolitan area and nationwide weekend and holiday delivery systems, Flora Lounge has established a competitive edge by introducing a new distribution category called "Quality Guaranteed Flower Delivery." Flora Lounge sells fresh flowers through distribution channels such as hypermarkets and home shopping channels, and is also working to expand its flower offerings into everyday consumer goods.

Flora Lounge utilizes AI-based demand forecasting to purchase fresh flowers at optimal prices. Its proprietary refrigerator and coating technology extend their shelf life by up to three times. Based on these capabilities, Flora Lounge has expanded into over 50 distribution channels, including Lotte and Hyundai Home Shopping, E-Mart, and Homeplus. At its Incheon POC, it achieved a 162% increase in sales and a 5% cost reduction in just three months.

Flora Lounge, which has been promoting the digital transformation of the entire flower distribution process since its establishment, has expanded its business portfolio by establishing an integrated online and offline platform, being selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' early-stage startup package, obtaining venture business certification, registering a patent for flower display devices, acquiring a subscription service, and being selected as an agricultural and food venture incubation company. In 2024, it strengthened its distribution and R&D capabilities by acquiring the qualification of a flower wholesaler, attracting Pre-A investment, and being selected as a TIPS R&D project. In 2025, it was selected as an E-Mart flower and potted plant supply partner, the best agricultural and food venture incubation company, and a women-specific accelerating startup company, and attracted follow-up investment from CNT Tech.

This investment is significant as it was discovered through the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency's agricultural and food venture incubation support program. Flora Lounge CEO Shim Ji-hyun stated, "Through this investment, we plan to enhance our nationwide flower delivery network and commercialize our AI demand forecasting system in earnest. As a leading K-flower brand, we will accelerate our global expansion."

Flora Lounge defines flowers as the "center of gifting," not a single product. It expands the gifting experience through collaborations with various lifestyle brands, including books, diffusers, and cakes. Through these collaborations, the brand aims to become the first gift brand consumers think of for various occasions, such as anniversaries, gratitude, consolation, and celebrations.
